This was the result of a one week mini project for uni. We each got a place in the city to go to, and we had to represent it in some sort of panoramic or dioramic way. I didn't get a cool place like the junk yard or the high street. No. I got the water meadows. I didn't opt for any deep, metaphoric or clever response as I usually do with uni work. I just drew the experience I had. It was cold and wet, and I was being followed by voles.
Oh yeah and I don't mind admitting that I totally ripped off Jon Klassen's style for several aspects. That guy rules.
Fantastic use with foreground and I'm a sucker for wideshots. The textures you pulled off in everything are just staggering, and it's really humbling to see how strongly you nailed the lighting and the feel of simple things like the puddles reflecting.
The fade to the horizon elements looks amazing, too.
